Story 4 my favorite story so far
So with Uber and Lyft there are two different rides to choose one of them is the traditional ride where you are the only person in the car. The other is cheaper but you also have to be okay with other people possibly be picked up along the way to your destination. So I go to pick up lets call him Dave on the way to his destination I get an alert that Octavis is requesting a ride so I go pick him up. I drop off Dave. We are heading to Octavis' destination when I get an alert to pick up Jessica and her friend Mary. About 5 minutes into the ride I get a phone call from the person that requested Octavis to be picked up it his baby mama. She proceeds to go off on me about why am I picking up other people. I explain to her that she selected Lyft line and she argued that she selected only one person to be in car. I explained that she selected that only one person was being picked up. Octavis is in the backseat saying I told you this I told you this. Baby mama is saying I don't care why are you having her pick up other females. He said I'm not having her pick up other females I can't do that, why are you complaining you requested the Lyft. She then proceeds to ask if the girls that I picked up will that be charged to her card I said no their ride is charged to their card. Your ride is charged to yours. She then proceeds to abruptly hang up. Everyone in the car is laughing at the absurdity of this women. I drop off the girls. Baby mama calls Octavis and starts going off on him about why he is having me pick up other females. Then she's asking him who is hanging out what females is hanging out with. He says I'm not hanging out with any females, what does it matter who I am hanging out with if they aren't females. He gets off the phone and he says she is crazy man. I told him I have sympathy for you. This ride was the hardest I have laughed in a long time. How in the world am I being dragged into baby mama drama of people I don't even know.
Story 3
I picked up this guy at a warehouse that was having an opening for a new brewery in downtown Atlanta. As soon as he got in the car all he spoke about was getting out of there because it wasn't safe and he had no idea where he was. I told him basically to pacify his nerves that everything would be okay and I would get him to his destination. On the way to his destination he asked if I was married or had a boyfriend, I said I had a boyfriend. He asked if he was at home I said yes and that he was making dinner. He proceeded to ask what he was making I said steak. He suddenly got a craving for steak, I drove him to the grocery by his home and he was very persistent in that he was more than willing to buy me a steak or anything else in the store. I politely declined and he came out later with a full meal for him to prepare.
Story 2
I picked up this guy but the address was given wasn't where he was being picked up from. I finally see him waving me down outside of a Drag Queen strip club. A drag queen cam out only wearing a blouse and a thong she turned around and faced the building and shook her butt at the parking lot. OMG my eyes were burning I felt blinded. He sat in the front seat which I didn't expect. When I pick people up I always say hello and ask how they are. This time I did not say anything to him, I DID NOT want to know how he was and what he had been doing there, I already knew but I didn't need the visual.
Story 1
So I was thinking I would try to drive after 7pm that was not a good idea. I picked up this guy (50's) from his house and he was already drunk, I took him to a bar to get more drunk. Only the way to the bar all he spoke about was how cool I was. He was raving about my purple shag steering wheel cover and how awesome it was. He asked if I had anyone checking up on me I told him I did. Then he proceeded to say that he would be worried if I didn't have anyone checking up on me. When I arrived at the bar he opened the door I turned around to say goodbye and he said "oh and you are beautiful too" On the way to the bar he kept talking about tipping me but he only had a $20. We didn't get a chance to stop anywhere for him to get change he ended up giving me the $20.
Introduction to this blog
Hi all,
So I started driving full-time with Uber and Lyft in September and I have been loving it. I love the flexibility and the money. The experiences are pretty fun too. So this blog will be a place for me to tell all of my stories of being a driver.
